I feel it's over priced at $56, but this was the cheapest real gold extenders I could find on Amazon at the time of my purchase. I ordered two; one for my choker, and one for my longest chain; so $112 for a few inches of gold. You could buy a whole chain for that!The gold stamp is used by the European System of gold stamping. Gold marked 585 is the equivalent of 14-karat gold in the U.S.These extenders are a little thin, and the links are very small. My clasp on my choker couldn't go all the way through the link; which gives me a little anxiety. The clasp on my choker isn't even that big!The gold color of these extenders don't match either one of the two chains I have them on. One is a 14K chain, and the other is a 10K choker. I don't know if this color difference is because it's European gold, but it gives me anxiety; as if I'm waiting for them to fade or tarnish.Before I purchased these extenders, I was wearing two gold plated extenders that faded horribly! So two real gold-stamped extenders is a much better feeling for me. For that reason alone, I am pleased with my purchases and will not return them.No more anxiety about people seeing the back of my neck! :-)Just what I needed to extend my 90-year-old mom‘s ankle bracelet that I gifted her for Christmas!
